Advantage Africa is a participating charity of the Peak District Challenge on 22-23 September 2017. This is a brilliant team event over the stunning Derbyshire Hills with four distances to choose from. They start with the 10km 'back before dark' run, followed by the 25km Copper Challenge (9 hour target, easier than the Yorkshire Three Peaks), get more challenging with the 50km Bronze event (harder than the Yorkshire Three Peaks), through Silver all the way to the 100km Gold Challenge (strictly for Bear Grylls types).

The cost starts at £19 for the 10k run. The £41 Copper Challenge includes a route guide, drinks and snacks at checkpoints, a supper on Saturday evening, T shirt and certificate. There’s no minimum sponsorship but we really hope you will raise as much as you can to transform the lives of vulnerable people in East Africa. Unlike the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in September, this event is not organised and run by Advantage Africa, but our good friends at SALVE International, with other small charities taking part.

Everything you need to know can be found on the comprehensive event website

If you’d like to enter one of the Challenges, please first think about whether you’d like to get a team together (map reading will be required) or take part as an individual by joining a guided team (Copper or Bronze challenges only). Then register here and when you get to the ‘Fundraising or donation’ section please click on ‘I am fundraising for a different charity’ and select Advantage Africa from the drop down list.

If you prefer, you can also simply register your interest with us by emailing challenges@advantageafrica.org so we can keep you informed of any emerging Advantage Africa teams that might be available for you to join. We look forward to hearing from you!
