Advantage Africa's guidance booklet for victims of rape and sexual assault, including advice for persons with disabilities, has now been published. The simple guide aims to help victims of sexual abuse and their families in East Africa to know their rights and to understand what services are available to them. The booklet is also a useful source of summary information for duty bearers in the community (e.g. village elders, faith groups, Assistant Chiefs and CBOs) as well as formal service providers such as hospitals and the police.
